View Full-Size Images in the New Flickr Viewer Mode

Tushar shares a simple way to view full-size images in Flickr's new viewer mode: Here's a simple hack to get to the full size images in the new Flickr viewer mode: add in sizes/o after the Flickr image URL.

Create Summary Pages in OneNote

Cass reminds us about how to create useful summary pages in OneNote: I just "discovered" OneNote several months ago too. My favorite feature is "Create Summary Page." I take daily notes at work now and I just have to tag a task in my notes to have it show up, categorized, when I create my notes page the next day.

OneNote Summaries, Flickr Viewers, and Testicular Health

Readers offer their best tips for creating summary pages in OneNote, getting full size images in the new Flickr viewer mode, and remembering to perform testicular self-exams. Every day we receive boatloads of great reader tips in our inbox, but for various reasons—maybe they're a bit too niche, maybe we couldn't find a good way to present it, or maybe we just couldn't fit it in—the tip didn't make the front page. From the Tips Box is where we round up some of our favorites for your buffet-style consumption. Got a tip of your own to share? Add it in the comments, email it to tips at lifehacker.com, or share it over at our user-run blog, Hackerspace.

Ultimate Sound Control Can Tweak Every Noise Your Android Phone Makes

Android (Rooted): The default sound control options in Android leave a bit to be desired, and don't let you discretely adjust notifications, calls, media, or even choose which notification sounds play when. Ultimate Sound Control changes all of that, and does what its name implies. Ultimate Sound Control lets you access all of your phone's sound settings and adjust volume levels individually, instead of joining them together the way stock Android does by default. You can set call, media, notification, alarm, and system volume to whichever levels you prefer, and adjust them independently. You can then set which notification sounds play at which events, and even replace individual sound files with notifications of your choosing. The app even makes backups of the original files in case you need to restore them. Ultimate Sound Control is free at Google Play, thanks to XDA developer nagasgura. The pro version of the app is the one that lets you replace notification files with your own uploaded sounds, and it'll set you back $2. You can also grab them over at the XDA Developer Forums.

Keep Your Tire Pressure Gauge In the Trunk So You Check the Spare, Too

Keeping a tire pressure gauge in the car is a great tip on its own. If you keep it somewhere handy, you'll remember to check the tire pressure regularly. Reader justagigilo85 suggests keeping it in your trunk—easier to get to, and you remember to check the pressure on your spare every time you check the other tires. If you can, I'd almost suggest strapping it to the underside of the trunk or to one side with a little velcro, somewhere you'll actually see it, as opposed to buried underneath piles of stuff you may have in your trunk. Personally, I keep a rubbermaid container in my trunk with jumper cables, a few spare light bulbs, an emergency and first air kit, and a few other useful things in there—it's a perfect place for a tire pressure gauge as well. Still, as long as it's in the trunk, you'll remember to check the pressure on the spare too—a tire that often goes unnoticed until you need it, and when you do need it, you'll need it to be properly inflated.

Remove Wi-Fi Profiles From Windows 8.1 From the Command Prompt

Windows: With the latest update to Microsoft's operating system, the company has unfortunately removed the ability to forget Wi-Fi networks so that you don't automatically connect to them. However, you can still do so from the command line. To remove a profile you don't want your laptop automatically connecting to anymore, open up a command prompt as an administrator and perform the following: Enter netsh wlan show profiles Locate the name of the wireless profile you'd like to forget. Enter netsh wlan delete profile name="[PROFILE NAME]" Replacing the latter with the name of the Wi-Fi network you want to erase. You're done! You can still make Windows 8.1 forget a Wi-Fi network via the regular interface, but only if you're within range and fail to connect at least once. It's an unfortunate and cumbersome process, but at least the command line tool still works well.

This Database of Android ROMs Helps You Choose the Best One For You

If you're interested in giving your phone a new operating system, or you want to breathe new life into an old device, installing a new ROM is a great way to go. However, there are dozens of ROMs available, and picking the best one can be tricky. This massive database will help you find the right one for you. XDA Developer nimrodity put together this massive database comparing the features of some of the most popular Android ROMs, including CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android, AOKP and a few others. It's a work in progress and he's opened the database to the public so people who don't see their favorite ROM included can help edit and update it. For the ROMs that are available though, you can scroll through the hundred or so rows to see all of the available features, like support for HALO (Paranoid Android's ring-style launcher), a theme chooser, wake on volume buttons, power options, even things as specific as whether the ROM has a built-in flashlight mode. We've covered some of our favorite Android ROMs in the past, but a number of others have appeared before then that are worth checking out. Of course, the one you settle on will have to support your device as well as have the features you want, so don't overlook that when you're making a decision. Hit the link below to check out the database, or read more about it on the XDA Developer Forums.
